Lake & Pond Specialist
Reports To: Route Manager, Branch Manager, or VP of Operations
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Lakes Division
SUMMARY: Provides assistance in labor associated with pond management and all other functions related to the
Company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs all labor associated with pond management.
• Performs all company equipment set up, tear down, loading of trucks, cleaning all equipment, and container disposal.
• Assists in general shop duties.
• Understands proper paperwork procedures and mobile live.
• Runs plow route or assists with snowplowing tasks and functions (branch dependent)
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Must understand paperwork and procedure
• Ability to effectively use the company data base and mobile live version for tablet use

• Education and/or Experience – High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
• Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Other Qualifications – Valid driver’s license is required; will travel 50-70% of time away from the office during business hours. Must be able to swim.

The extent to which the employee is able to perform all maintenance and operations checks of job related equipment. Employee must be taught and fully understand how to safely use and perform basic maintenance on all job related equipment.

The employee is safety conscious about the work environment and equipment. The work area is free of debris to prevent trip and slip hazards. All products and equipment are stored in its proper location. All safety guards and other safety devices are in its proper location, are functional, and utilized effectively on a consistent basis. Standard operating
procedures, safety work rules and good general manufacturing practices are followed on a daily basis. Must read, understand, and follow all pesticide labels. Wears appropriate PPE.
Work quality refers to the effort that consistently achieves desired outcomes with a minimum of avoidable errors and problems.
Employee is required to work long hours in inclement weather (heat, cold, rain, and sun). Employee will be required to move, lift, and/or drag equipment from vehicle to the worksite (pond/lake) multiple times throughout the day. Employee will have frequent exposure to pesticides, algaecides, herbicides, and beneficial bacteria. Proper PPE will be supplied to the employee and required to be worn at appropriate times.
Employee may be required to walk on uneven or unstable surfaces on occasion. Employee will be required to enter the pond or lake to remove vegetation, debris, or other objects that may be within the basin. Employee may be required to utilize power tool in or near water, taking all necessary safety precautions. Employee will be required to perform general
shop duties as requested by management. Due to exposure of machinery and electrical currents, employees are required to wear personal protective equipment. During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.
