Dues Cycle

NALMS operates on a calendar cycle, with a fixed renewal date of January 1st.

• For renewing members, your dues will be prorated to January 1st and you will continue to receive your membership benefits, as usual.
• For NEW members, our proration strategy operates as follows:
  • Provide electronic access to your publications, email previous NALMS Notes & Lake News, and deliver remaining copies of your publications in the format currently being produced and distributed to members, if you join or renew during the first half of the calendar year (January – June)
  • Provide electronic access to your publications, email previous NALMS Notes & Lake News, membership for following year, if you join or renew during the second half of calendar year (July – December)

Individual Memberships

College Student — $45

Includes 4 mailed issues of the Lake and Reservoir Management, online access to new and old issues of LakeLine Magazine and Lake and Reservoir Management as well as conference registration discounts.

Check out the NALMS Sponsored Student Program!  This program provides students like you with a FREE membership through support from NALMS member donations. And as a sponsored student you will be eligible for the same member benefits as our paid student members.  An application can be found on the Sponsored Student Program page.

Join/Renew

Early Career — $85

Includes 4 mailed issues of the Lake and Reservoir Management, online access to new and old issues of LakeLine Magazine and Lake and Reservoir Management as well as conference registration discounts.

This membership level is aimed at recent graduates who are just beginning their professional careers. Limited to individuals with less than 5 years in the field. Operated on the honor system!

Emeritus — $75

Reserved for members who are retired, over the age of sixty, and have maintained a NALMS membership for five years. Includes 4 electronic issues of LakeLine Magazine, online access to archived issues, as well as conference registration discounts.

Lake Leader — $75

Professional — $140

For organizations operating on an annual budget of $50K or less. Operated on the honor system – we do not require the submission of your organization’s financials.

Nonprofit — $330

For organizations operating on an annual budget of over $50K. Operated on the honor system – we do not require the submission of your organization’s financials.
