Colorado Lake and Reservoir Management Association (CLRMA)

CLRMA’s first event of 2020 will be the Annual Spring Luncheon on April 15. We will have a couple speakers talk about forest health, fire and snowpack projections, and a couple talks about Cherry Creek Reservoir and Rueter-Hess Reservoir. CLMRA is also making plans for an Algae ID workshop for the summer. // clrma.org

 

New York State Federation of Lake Associations, Inc. (NYSFOLA)

The New York State Federation of Lake Associations, Inc. (NYSFOLA) is gearing up for their 37th annual conference “Restoring Our Watersheds” May 1–2, 2020 in Lake George. Registration is now open at https://nysfola.org/annual-conference/.

NYSFOLA would like to thank NALMS for forwarding the letter from the Consortium of Aquatic Sciences Society (CASS) regarding the change to the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) definition. NYSFOLA sent a letter supporting the CASS position to several key New York contacts.

We’re also gearing up for a very busy Citizens Statewide Lake Assessment Program in 2020. We expect to have about 180 sampling sites and nearly 400 volunteers this year. // nysfola.org

 

Pennsylvania Lake Management Society (PALMS)

The Pennsylvania Lake Management Society is hosting their 30th Annual Lake Conference March 4–5, 2020. PALMS has chosen a new venue this year at the Wyndham Garden State College complete with beautiful mountain views and modern amenities.
