Description

Human behaviors and activities are the source of the majority of problems facing our lakes. When we do not account for this “social dimension,” our efforts to protect and enhance our lakes often fall short. Unfortunately, understanding and changing human behavior is not easy. Just as biophysical scientists draw from an extensive body of knowledge to understand the biological and chemical properties of lakes, social scientists draw from a body of knowledge to understand human behavior.
