Haunted lakes? You be the judge! We decided to have a little bit of fun with the articles in this issue of LakeLine, given that it is the fall issue and so close to Halloween. Each of the authors in this issue embraces the idea of sharing some interesting phenomena that do come up from time to time in lakes (pun intended), and that are often hair-raising to lake residents and visitors alike. Most of the articles delve into the science of the various lake-centric topics to address mysteries or problems in those lakes, while a couple explore some of the fun myths that surround so many lakes around the globe.
