The 2024 election for officers and directors is underway. Voting in the annual election is an important way for NALMS members to provide input in the management of the Society. Our officers and directors are all volunteers who serve without pay. All members may vote for President-Elect. The President-Elect serves for one year in that position after which they serve as President for one year and Past-President for one year. You could become a nominee for a position on the NALMS Board of Directors, to take a more active role in steering the direction of activities that relate to these precious resources. Experience or training in lake management is not required for a board position, and we encourage candidates with expertise in nonprofit management, leadership development, marketing, fundraising, legal issues and membership growth and development to consider running for a Board position.
