NALMS Statement on Racism and Equality

Dear NALMS members and friends, During the past week, NALMS' leadership collaborated in writing the following statement. We invite NALMS members, partners, and the broader lake management community to read this statement and learn more about our plans for action steps. This spring, we invited elementary, middle, and high school students to submit posters reflecting on how important lakes are to all of us. Submitted artwork will be a big part of NALMS’ celebrations through July. With nearly 60 entries, our volunteer judges had a tough job deciding our three winners (one per grade category). Together with them, we are in a holding pattern as we await input from NALMS members and the meeting venue regarding how best to proceed. By June 1, we all expect to know more about what will be possible, given the need to protect the health of all participants. Updates will be posted on the Symposium ...

World Water Day 2020: Water and Climate Change

What is World Water Day? World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, is an annual United Nations Observance focusing on the importance of freshwater.
